Site Rank: 1

MultiDoge is an open-source desktop wallet for Dogecoin. It is a lightweight client which is accessible on Mac, Windows, and Linux. The wallet runs off the dogecoinj software and is ported from the MultiBit Bitcoin client. Users control their own private keys. The private keys are stored on the user's computer. The wallet can be backed up as a paper wallet for increased security. Malware on the user's computer represents a potential security risk. The Github page is very active with twelve contributors and around 320 forks of the code.

The wallet is very basic and only has support for Doge. The wallet has no multi-signature functionality. It is not hierarchical deterministic. There is also no two-factor authentication. Multidoge has been reported as easy to install but tricky to use. It is a full node meaning it keeps a full copy of the blockchain.
