BitcoinAverage is a price data service which has been operating since 2013. Some of BitcoinAverage's clients include the Brave browser, Bitsquare, and OpenBazaar. The service provides pricing data on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The data sets support over 170 fiat currencies and over 1400 cryptocurrencies. BitcoinAverage launched the first Bitcoin price index, the Global Price Index. Users can integrate with the API to get pricing data into their websites, applications, and intranets. The API is delivered over 2048 bit HTTPS. Documentation is available on the website on how to integrate the API and FAQ's are also available.

BitcoinAverage have a number of different pricing plans. The free plan updates the ticker every 15 seconds and allows 5,000 requests per month. Paid plans range from $12 to $75 per month. The highest tier updates the price every second and unlimited amount of API requests. Live data is also available but users need to contact BitcoinAverage for additional services. The free plan will be sufficient for a lot of users with basic needs. BitcoinAverage also publishes a blog which notifies users of when new products are added. Users can also sign up for a newsletter.

BitcoinAverage also offers additional services to clients. Clients can determine their own methodology on how the price should be calculated. Clients also have options to get historical data and real-time data.
